Will I need to pay for using the app?
Depending on where you live, your age and what kind of appointment you have there may be a fee. Before your appointment you will always be notified about the fee, and you can then make a decision to proceed or not.
If you have an exemption card this is valid for appointments using the app.
How do I pay for my appointment?
After your appointment you will receive an invoice via our partner, Billogram, to your email. You can pay the invoice using the OCR-number, Swish or direct transfer via your bank. If you don’t open the email with your invoice within 48 hours, we will send you a regular mail to your registered address. There is no additional fee for a paper invoice.

Can I get a receipt?
The invoice and a transfer receipt from your bank will function as a receipt.
What happens if I don’t pay the invoice?
If you know that you won’t be able to pay your invoice please email our customer service to discuss alternatives. If we don’t receive a payment there will be an additional reminders fee and default interest added. As a last step your invoice could be sent to a third party for collection.

What happens if I don’t cancel my appointment with a psychologist more than 24 hours before?
If you can’t make it to your appointment, please email
Avbokningpsykolog@doktor.se at least 24 hours before your appointment. If you don’t cancel on time or don’t show up you will be charged for the appointment.
Is my exemption card valid when I book an appointment with Doktor.se?
Yes, if your appointment should result in a fee your exemption card is valid. You need to inform us that you have an exemption card before your appointment, but if you should receive an invoice anyway please email our customer support at
Kundtjanst@doktor.se and we will cancel the invoice.
How do I know if I have an exemption card?
You can see if you’ve reached the limit to receive an exemption card at 1177.se. There you can also see how much you have left to pay before you receive an exemption card.
In Skåne it is currently not possible to see this information online.
The limit before receiving an exemption card in Stockholm and Skåne is 1150 kronor.
Will my appointment with Doktor.se register toward an exemption card automatically?
Unfortunately this is currently automatic, but we are looking into solutions to this. Another healthcare provider who is connected to the exemption card service can register this after your payment have been registered. Your invoice and a transfer receipt from your bank will serve as a receipt.
I have a private health insurance, is this valid with Doktor.se?
No, private health insurance is not valid with Doktor.se.
I have received an invoice and now signed up to direct debet, will I still need to pay this invoice manually?
When you choose to sign up to direct debet you will still need to pay the invoice you’ve received manually. Any invoices after that will be paid via direct debit, this is clearly stated on any invoice you receive.
I live in Skåne and are serving in the military or undergoing military training, will I need to pay to use the app?
No, in this case the patient fee is 0 kronor. Please contact our customer service at

Who have access to my medical journal?
Only the medical staff that you are in contact with will have access to the information in your medical journal.
